We will look at how false doctrine came into the Church, such as replacement theology. Which was built upon antisemitism againt the Jewish people. You may ask. Why is this important? I want you to see Jesus as a Hebrew, not as we see Him in the Church today. Also, to help you have a Hebrew mindset when studying scriptures. When I first discovered the Roots of my faith, I spent ten years in prayer and deep study of the scriptures to make sure what I believed was God's truth and not mine.
Yeshua is His Hebrew Name though I use Jesus at times. I prefer to use His given Name Yeshua, which in Hebrew means Salvation. We all like to be called by our real names, and Jesus was not His name and never was. In His time, He was never called Jesus and would have never answered if someone had called Him that! If your name is John, you wouldn't answer to the name of Tom, would you? Yeshua is just as easy to pronounce as Jesus is, so why not call our Saviour by His correct name?
I have heard people say you cannot be saved with the name of Jesus. I do not believe that is true, we are not saved by a name. You may prefer to use Jesus, where I would prefer to use Yeshua. Some people become too dogmatic on names, instead of truth. Never be so quick to except what others teach, always stand on the true word of God. Understand this I am not here to convert you to Judaism. I believe the Jewish people should stay Jewish and Gentiles should stay Gentiles.
Jesus is our Saviour, our Messiah, and King. Now you may ask the question, then who was Jesus? Did He come to the Gentilies or Isreal First? That question can be easily answered just by looking at scriptures. First of all, Jesus was Jewish. He was born a Jew, grew up as a Jew, worked and lived as a Jew, and finally died as a Jew with matzah in His teeth! He came to God's Chosen People first, then the nations (Gentiles). I can't count how many times I have heard Christians say the covenant was taken from Isreal and given to the Church. That is a LIE straight out of HELL! No where in the whole of scriptures can you find where God broke His covenant with Israel. Christians say the Jews killed Jesus and rejected Him. This is another LIE, as we shall see as we search the scriptures for truth.
Let me ask this question. Do all Gentiles except Jesus as the Son of God? I think not. Now let me ask another question. Think about this for a moment. If God can break His covenants and promises with Isreal. What about the promises made to the nations? God could break His promises to us as well. Could we trust and believe in a God who breaks His covenants and promises to His people. I think not!
I have seen so many of my Christian brothers and sisters find their Hebraic Roots, only to fall into false doctrine. Never let yourself loose site of who Yeshua is, He is your only salvation. We must always stand on truth, where God is silent we should stay silent. A word of warning, never read just one verse, read above and below to fully understand what is being said. Sometimes to understand what is being said, you need to read the whole chapter. Since scripture was not writen in chapters you may have to read a chapter before and after to fully understand what is being said. Pay close attention to each verse. Never come to your own conclusion. Make sure each verse lines up with God's word and not what you think the verse should say. When you see the word therefore remember this is the closing of what was being said. Make sure you go back to fully understand what is being said, Then continue on reading the closing verses. Be as the Bereas in Acts 17:11; search the scriptures daily. Become a truth seeker.
When you build a house, the first thing you would build is your foundation. Once your foundation was right, you could then build your house. Now let's look at God's word: the Old Testament. It is your foundation; the New Testament is your house. Never build your house, the New Testament, without the foundation of the Old Testament. If you do, you will never understand what Jesus and the Apostles taught correctly. I have heard it said, the New Testament is concealed in the Old Testament and the Old Testament in revealed in the New Testament. The Old Testament teaches on how sin separates us from God starting in Genesis and ending in Malachi. It will show us the need for a redeemer and sets the stage for the arrival of Yeshua. As I have said before you will never see who Yeshua is without the Old Testament.
Remember this as you go through these articles. They are the path I walked through scriptures to find God's truth. My Prayer is this Web Site will help you to walk in truth as you learn the truth from God's word. "Come now, let us reason together, Says the Lord, though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool" (Isaiah 1:18). As Paul said, you will no longer be tossed around by false doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). You will then stand on a firm foundation with the truth of God's word as our banner.
